THE COMPANY
 

WINKELMANN was established in 1927 in Dortmund as a trading company for chemicals and paints. Under the management of its majority shareholder Dipl.-Ing. Thomas Hörner since 1999 , Winkelmann GmbH & Co.KG is now a paint manufacturer and still an independent family enterprise. The other managing director is Mr. Gerd Krüger, who has been involved in WINKELMANN's technical developments for many years.

Situated in Dortmund-Dorstfeld, the company owns premises of approximately 24,000 m². The number of employees is currently 60.

WINKELMANN is specialized in the research, development and production of paints and coatings for almost all branches of industry. As such, we have developed into a well-known medium-sized enterprise of modern paint chemistry.

With the aim of keeping up and improving the high standard and reliability of the WIMADUR^® and WINCOLOR products, WINKELMANN obtained, in 1996, the test certificate according to the international standard DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 for its quality management system.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

Due to intensive research and development activities, WINKELMANN has succeeded in reaching leading positions in many areas of modern paint chemistry, particularly in high-solid and solvent-free coatings.

WINKELMANN is competent for industrial coatings which fulfil the highest demands on advanced technology, quality and economy.
